HERE IN THE MATERIAL WORLD: a film (5 min)
In our daily lives we experience the MATERIAL WORLD, we know it because when knock our knuckles on it, we feel pain. And then there’s the spiritual world which we might access Practicing meditation or prayer. SCULPTURE abides At the intersection of the spiritual and the material. We know that because at the same time a sculpture is bruising our knuckles it can also take us far away to a place where airplanes don’t fly. That is the subject of this 2016 FILM. The music is composed and performed by Hale Appleman.

There is a space between the MATERIAL WORLD of our daily lives and the SPIRITUAL WORLD we might access through meditation or prayer. That is the space where SCULPTURE comes fully alive.
