This book was never published but it is currently used as a text in at least one classroom in Jordan! It’s hard to imagine, but back when we did this, climate change was news to large segments of the population. We envisioned this as our contribution to the public education.

MARK SCHAPIRO teaches at Berkeley’s School of Journalism, writes for Yale Environment360, Mother Jones (on Ukraine), The Guardian (on the killing of environmental journalists), The Nation (on investigative journalism). Mark’s latest book is about the history of seeds: Seeds of Resistance. We received a small grant from Invoking the Pause, a foundation dedicated to encouraging collaboration; we spent our money traveling to agricultural regions of California including the Central Valley and the counties North of the Bay Area. Mark and I have been pals for about 30 years.
